Wow this movie is just BEAUTIFUL.<br/><br/>I couldn&#39;t help but cry. It&#39;s beyond amazing. I won&#39;t give any spoilers. But I will say that this movie was well worth the wait. If you don&#39;t watch then you will be missing out on something truly amazing. Johnny Depp was the perfect choice to portray king Louis XV. He played the part better than I thought that he would. His French was amazing. Johnny and Ma?wenn act very well together and you. You can see they have a great connection and chemistry. If you have a chance to see this movie go see it you will love it. If it&#39;s not your type of movie then it isn&#39;t but give it a real chance and don&#39;t listen to anybody else.

The backdrop of Versailles was magnificent enough but Ma?wenn&#39;s portrayal of Madame du Barry was captivating. I honestly watched the film to see Johnny Depp&#39;s great comeback and his portrayal of King Louis XV was absolutely fine. His emotiveness added a complex element to the character that hasn&#39;t been portrayed in past films I&#39;ve seen, but Ma?wenn... oh! Ma?wenn! Her Jeanne was captivating.<br/><br/>Loved the costumes, the sets and the way the story was played. The chemistry between Depp and Ma?wenn was awkward in a very intentional way. That&#39;s not a criticism, they felt l lovers in a world where that kind of emotion wasn&#39;t allowed. Their chemistry portrayed that beautifully. It&#39;s well worth a watch, especially if you enjoy period pieces.<br/><br/>8.5/10 - my second favorite Ma?wenn film.

Johnny Depp is a truly wonderful actor and in this he is absolutely amazing. The makeup and costumes are exquisite and I can honestly say I was very impressed with this movie. Pure class. There was real chemistry and I would definitely recommend this beautifully made piece of cinema to anyone who appreciates good acting and the beautiful French language. I have to say I&#39;ve missed Johnny depp he needs to be back in big budget movies also as he&#39;s a truly epic actor. I will say that if Disney had been better to him they wouldn&#39;t have lost such an asset...captain Jack is missed and its time we saw more of Johnny Depp.
