It is a very personalised view of the war from Golda, expressing her as a Human and as a politician in history , although it is very controversial because of choosing the main characters eyes to reflect the horror of war instead of bloody war scenes, but it is set made in a brilliant way that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time & you can feel the tragedy of what is going on and what she has been through. It is a story of humanity, anxiety and war. It is a movie that has everything for a very controversial character & in time of history where everyone had different side . Highly recommended 10/10 Stars.

As stated this movie depicts Goldas involvement during the Yom Kippur war whilst testifying at the Agrant inquiry committee.<br/><br/>All other characters dwarf next to Helen Mirren,they seemed to me more as extras on the setHelen Mirren provides an outstanding academy award worthy performance. Dame Mirren is absolutely outstanding in all aspects. There are some flashing scenarios that could have been edited differently ,yet that&#39;s a subjective opinion. This is indeed a very worthy motion picture that should be watched on the big screen,to fully enjoy the epic performance of Dame Mirren as Golda and the dark days of the yom kippur war.

As difficult as it is to review a film like this objectively without analysing the loyalties and views associated with its politics, I&#39;m going to try.<br/><br/>I&#39;m viewing this film as a character study into the psyche of a woman burdened with secondhand grief and guilt. And it works rather splendidly in this regard.<br/><br/>Helen Mirren&#39;s anxiety-riddled performance, the deliberately off-putting musical score, and director Guy Nattiv&#39;s expert handling of the camera elevate this story that could have been thoroughly dull to become a deeply moving dive into the psychological burden of war carried by those who give the orders that lead soldiers to their deaths.<br/><br/>I could see many people being put off by the movie&#39;s slow pacing and lack of triumphant payoff. But I found it refreshingly honest. Politics is messy and is made up of a lot of mistakes. There is no clean victory.<br/><br/>My primary gripe with this movie is the rushed ending. It makes a huge jump forward in time and the events did not feel narratively earned. It put quite a blemish on an otherwise far above average historical biopic.
